Delphi Academy and Piano Playtime Celebrate National Arts in Education
Delphi Academy of Boston and Molly Howard’s Piano Playtime have joined together for the second year in a row to bring music education to the wonderful students at Delphi Academy. Both Delphi and Molly understand the importance of music and the arts in shaping the lives and personalities of young individuals.
Research has proven that there is a direct correlation between music education and academic aptitude and performance. Piano lessons can improve your child’s skills in coordination, learning math and science, concentration and self-confidence.
Piano Playtime founder, Molly Howard, is a classically trained and accomplished pianist who has played the piano for 26 years. She has taught group and private lessons for seven years and has brought piano lessons to over 75 schools. Piano Playtime offers a unique music education experience for children ages three to fourteen. For younger students a color coded system, workbooks, songs and props are used to keep them highly engaged. Older students learn the traditional studies of notation, theory and staff music, which is easily transferable to other instruments.
“My daughter, Lily, loves coming home to practice piano and show me what she learned. It’s really nice that she has this opportunity in school,” Katie Campbell, Delphi Academy parent.
Delphi Academy of Boston is an independent, coeducational and non-sectarian day school offering regular school year and summer programs for preschool through junior high students.
